👉🏽Seeking a Kaitiaki Punirawa to support our Marae and facilities.

The Marae holds a unique significance as a cultural and historic hub for six of the eight iwi in Te Tauihu o te Waka a Maui, connected through their common tupuna Kaakati.

The Kaitiaki Punirawa is a highly relational role, charged will managing Manaakitanga on behalf of the iwi owners of the Marae. There are two distinct parts to this role:

👉🏽To promote and market the Marae as venue for Māori cultural acquisition, manage function bookings and ensure the provision of manaakitanga for kaimahi and manuhiri using the Marae.

👉🏽To ensure the facilities are well appointed and maintained in line with the Maraes’ 25 year Maintenance Program.
