South Island Change race
Motueka Waka Ama club welcomes you to make a splash with us at the South Island’s new changeover event held along the tranquil shores of Te Tai o Aorere (Abel Tasman National Park). Starting at Kaiteriteri, this event has both 52km and 32km course options, and on Sunday a 20km (2x 5km each) W1/W2 relay race to the famous Tokangawhā (Split Apple Rock)
This iconic changeover event will take you and your team on an adventure to remember along an ancient waka highway past remote beaches, and unique golden granite coastlines, through marine reserves, and uninhabited pest and predator free islands. We guarantee you will feel satisfied and refreshed after experiencing what this coastline has to offer.
PLEASE NOTE: Each entry in the 52km or 32km events, must provide their own Support Boat and skipper.
The Safety Boat briefing will be held on Friday 7pm at the Bethany Park office, 88 Martin Farm Road, Kaiteriteri 7197 – ALL Crew Captains and Support Boat Skippers must attend

The Friday will be for small craft and the Saturday for the two stage race event with your overall time as your result.
