Grounded in kaupapa M\u0101ori values, we deliver a range of social services and programmes that support wh\u0101nau wellbeing, resilience, and self-determination.&nbsp;<br>Our mahi is informed by tikanga, whanaungatanga, and a deep commitment to supporting positive outcomes for our rangatahi, wh\u0101nau, hap\u016b, and iwi.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Ng\u0101 t\u016branga &#8211; Current opportunities<\/strong>&nbsp;<br>We currently have four roles available:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attendance (Kaiwhakatere Ako) \u2014 1.0 FTE, permanent&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attendance (Kaiwhakatere Ako) \u2014 1.0 FTE, fixed-term maternity cover, starting 1 November for approximately 1 year&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attendance Administration Support \u2014 0.5 FTE, permanent&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kaiawhina &#8211; Wh\u0101ngaia Ng\u0101 P\u0101 Harakeke \u2014 1.0 FTE, fixed-term through to 30 June 2027&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please indicate clearly in your application which position you are applying for.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>M\u014d te t\u016branga mahi &#8211; About these roles<\/strong><br>Our Kaiwhakatere Ako roles provide support to tamariki and rangatahi who are chronically absent or non-enrolled in school, working alongside wh\u0101nau to identify and overcome barriers to attendance and re-engage with education.&nbsp;<br>The Attendance Administration Support role provides the administrative backbone for the team, keeping records, referrals, and reporting on track so kaimahi can focus on wh\u0101nau.&nbsp;<br>The Kaiawhina &#8211; Wh\u0101ngaia Ng\u0101 P\u0101 Harakeke role is a partnership role between Whakat\u016b Marae and NZ Police, providing capacity to the Wh\u0101ngaia Ng\u0101 P\u0101 Harakeke team to intervene with wh\u0101nau experiencing family harm. This role plays a key part in daily multi-agency Safety Assessment Meetings (SAM) with practitioners from Corrections, Health, Oranga Tamariki, and Police, and covers administration for SAMs and the wider family harm response model.&nbsp;<br><br>Key responsibilities include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assessing and providing practical, wraparound support to wh\u0101nau to overcome barriers&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building and maintaining relationships within the community&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinating referrals, appointments, and follow-up with wh\u0101nau&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining accurate records, databases, and reporting&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engaging with wh\u0101nau in a culturally appropriate manner&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing administration support, including timely data entry&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitoring progress of Family Plan tasks and following up with lead professionals&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintaining confidentiality and privacy in all case management work&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>M\u014du &#8211; About you<\/strong><br>To be effective in these roles you will understand the social, health, education, and economic issues wh\u0101nau face day to day. You are empathetic and considerate in your approach, with a commitment to finding the best solutions for all involved, and able to build and foster relationships with key stakeholders.&nbsp;<br><br>Our ideal candidates will have:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A current understanding of the social, cultural, health, and education issues facing wh\u0101nau, tamariki, and rangatahi&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong organisational and time-management skills, with close attention to detail&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills in English, with Te Reo M\u0101ori desirable&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confidence working with Microsoft applications, databases, and reporting&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Established community connections, or the ability to proactively build them&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working with wh\u0101nau and an understanding of family dynamics, including power and control concepts&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confidence operating within a Tikanga M\u0101ori environment, and a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent administration and keyboard skills, and the ability to work unsupervised under pressure&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A clean, clear police check and Oranga Tamariki vetting in line with the Children&#8217;s Act 2014&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A collaborative, team-focused approach&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A full, clean driver&#8217;s licence&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is an opportunity to be part of a kaupapa-driven organisation making a meaningful difference in the lives of rangatahi and wh\u0101nau.
